How to register and submit a project on a portal?

https://www.inup.cense.iisc.ac.in/register.
  • Log in as a user. User ID and Password will be sent to your Email ID. Kindly check the Inbox/ Spam folder.
  • Propose a research project by clicking on "Submit Project" (left side menu) and click on “Academic/ Startup Industry/ Industry/ National Lab/ CeNSE Industry Affiliate Programme” in ‘Source of Funding’. Fill in necessary details and ‘Submit’ the project request
  • After submitting the project request, download the appropriate form from the “Downloads” section – NNfC Service Request Form (for Fabrication), MNCF Service Request Form (for Characterization), Mask Authorization Request Form (for Mask Fabrication) or Gas Sensing Request Form (for Gas Sensing Analysis) and fill it.
  • Use the “Messages” section. Compose the Message, upload the form in .docx format and submit.
  • Our technical staff will review your proposal and forms and get back to you with the process feasibility and Quotation or Estimate.

What should the user do if they have forgotten their INUP portal account password?

Users have to enter their User ID in the login page (https://www.inup.cense.iisc.ac.in/login) and click on “Forgot Password”. A new password will be sent to the registered email id.

What is the selection criteria for the INUP-i2i Familiarization Workshop/ INUP Basic Training Program?

Priority will be given to the faculty members (with Ph.D.) and the Ph.D. scholars followed by the Masters students.

What is the selection criteria for the INUP-i2i Hands-on Training/ INUP Advanced Training Program?

It is recommended that the applicant should have attended the INUP-i2i Familiarization Workshop/ INUP Basic Training Program at one of the INUP centers (i.e. IISc/ IITB/ IITM/ IITGwt/ IITKgp/ IITD).

What is the procedure to apply for the INUP-i2i Familiarization Workshop/ INUP Basic Training Program?

  • The applicant should login to INUP Portal (https://www.inup.cense.iisc.ac.in/login) and click on the “Registered Events”.
  • Click on “View all other upcoming events of INUP” and then click on “Apply” for INUP-i2i Familiarization Workshop/ INUP Basic Training Program and fill in all the necessary details and “Submit”. Also, download the Research Poster format
  • Click on “Registered Events” and then click on “Messages”, attach the soft copy of your Research Poster and “Send”.

What is the procedure to apply for the INUP-i2i Hands-on Training/ INUP Advanced Training Program?

  • The applicant should first register and login to INUP Portal (https://www.inup.cense.iisc.ac.in/login) and you will be directed to register on INUP-i2i portal ) (http://www.inup-i2i.org/inup_wrapper/login.php).
  • Once receiving the login credentials to your registered email id, please login and apply for INUP-i2i Hands-on Training on INUP-i2i Portal, along with the brief research proposal.
  • Click on “Registered Events” and click on “Messages”, attach the soft copy of your Research Proposal (if any) and “Send”.

Is it mandatory to attend INUP-i2i Familiarization Workshop/ INUP Basic Training Program in order to attend INUP-i2i Hands-on Training/ INUP Advanced Training Program?

It is recommended.

Will the participant get accommodation while attending INUP workshop?

The outstation participants will be provided accommodation starting from one day before till the last day of the workshop subject to the availability of the funds.

Will the participant get a Travel Allowance for attending INUP workshop?

Subject to the availability of the funds, outstation participants (faculty and researchers) will be provided Travel Allowance for train travel by 3-tier AC. No local TA (taxi or auto fare) will be reimbursed. If you are traveling by Air, you may claim partial reimbursement (up to 3-tier AC train fare only - as per rules).

How long would it take to get slots once the participant submits a modified research proposal after attending INUP-i2i Hands-on Training/ INUP Advanced Training Program?

There is a long queue to avail the slot! It is completely on the first come first serve basis and also depends on the nature of technical requirements of the research proposal.

What if an applicant is not selected for INUP-i2i Hands-on Training/ INUP Advanced Training Program?

Applicants can modify their research proposal based on the feedback from the technical staff and reapply for the next Hands-on Training/ Advanced Training Program.
